Catcher in the Rye book cover redesign.
With this project, I wanted to keep the simplicity of the original book while playing with the complex themes of the story. The novel is full of symbolism within each section of the book with that direction; it allowed me to illustrate those elements for the cover design. The type I chose gave the cover a timeless touch that tied together my design as a whole. Inside the book jacket added an element of surprise by taking the illustrations from the back cover and creating a seamless pattern. If you were to take off the jacket, the back reflected the cover illustrations.
